This is the forum for students to showcase their technical talent and ideas. Abhiyantriki hosts a huge variety of exhibitions and competitions. It has been graced by renowned organizations like ISRO in the past. Students can take part in various competitions like Paper Presentation, Robotics Competitions, Gaming Arenas, Project Competitions etc.

Symphony

Symphony, the inter-collegiate cultural festival of KJSCE, has gained its name and popularity among Engineering and Management institutes under Mumbai University for the last decade. Every year about 75 institutes and 10000 students participate in the programme. The main aim is to promote, encourage and exhibit the talents of the students on a common platform and create interest in cultural activities.

Parvaah

Parvaah, the Sanksrit word meaning care, is the social initiative of K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. Under this initiative the students have taken up various critical social issues that needed to be addressed at large. The various issues that have been taken up under Parvaah so far are: Womens Safety, Child Care, Beautification of the Ghatkopar Station and Support for the LGBTQ Community.

Skream

Apart from the indoor and the outdoor sport events (KJSCE Shield) organized for students and staff, we also host our national level sports festival – Skream. Skream hosts various teams pan India and has a footfall of about 3000+ students. The participants can participate in various sport events like Football, Cricket, Tennis, Athletics etc. The students are encourage to show true sportsmanship and compete for the coveted prizes.

Team Rhapsody has always been about the deepest expression of self. Right from its infancy, Team Rhapsody has never taken this responsibility lightly, through the expression of self, they have always sought to bring about a personal as well as a social change through mediums of theatre and film. Rhapsody has boldly taken up topics like Rights for LGBTQ, Plight of farmers, Everchanging Role Of Media ,Women Empowerment and The State of Education System in India. Rhapsody has bagged several accolades at several youth theatre festivals and national level short film festivals.

Storytelling is deeply knit in the human fabric and Team Rhapsody is thoroughly committed to it as a means of impacting human life.

Team Gyrations is the official dance team of kjsce. In the year 2017-18, we entered 25 intercollege dance competitions, out of which, in 14 we stood first and in 7 we stood at the second place. Our biggest win was at the national level in BITS Pilani ,Hyderabad. Here the students are exposed to the best of the modern dance form. They also tend to learn about the team work, leadership qualities and the value of hardwork in our lives.

Heartiest greetings from Team Palinoia, the official cultural dance group of KJSCE. Having completed a wonderful year, here we are, celebrating our culture and launching talents higher than ever. This very idea started off with the ambition of a small group of talented classical dancers, who dreamed to show the world what they can do! Our very first performance was at Symphony 2017 on 6^th February 2017.

A great dancer is not recognized for following steps, a great dancer is recognized for following the rhythm. This is just the beginning. There are many more milestones to cover, many more ecstatic displays coming your way in future. Working our way into competitions and performances, we try our best to improve the better to become the best.

Few Theatre Enthusiastic with a motive of creating awareness of theatre plays formed Team Yugandhar.

Team Yugandhar as the name suggests 'ever-lasting' era of Marathi Drama. We as a team participate in theatre drama competitions. Through Theatre Drama team members get the opportunity to explore the theatre world and learn nitty-gritty of theatre world. Theatre is basically a collaborative art. It's not only about acting but involves various aspects like back-stage handling, Music, Script writing, Lights etc. Working of these aspects together makes a theatre drama complete. We as a team not only focus on one aspect but we see to it that these aspects are developed as a team. Teamwork is the major thing that keeps us bound together. We see to it that everyone in the team gets to explore various aspects of theatre world rather than just sticking to one thing monotonously. With that it is a great platform to give hope to society about the society.

We are the Official Art team of K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar.We create decor like paintings, hangings and 3-D art pieces for our college fests. So far we have been creating art decor for- Flashmob, Freshers Eve, Abhiyantriki, Parvaah, Skream, Symphony, Naari and Farewell. We also collaborate with various organisations like TedxSVV, Makermela, NGOs and also helped out Parvaah for the beautification of Ghatkopar Railway Station.

PUSH-KJSCE (People United for Student’s Help), officially formed in 2013, is a council comprising of faculty, staff and students, that has been initiated with the aim to offer a helping hand to those deserving candidates who are financially weak and are unable to pay their college tuition fees, hence dedicated towards aiding deserving yet underprivileged students in completing their education. The funds needed are acquired through generous donations from college faculty, staff, alumni, and other donors. It has changed over 65+ students' lives by providing financial help of over 40+ lacs.

Conceptualized and founded in early 2012, BloomBox is the entrepreneurship cell at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering. BloomBox is intended as a platform to motivate and educate students about entrepreneurship and encourage them to flesh out their ideas in business terms and form global enterprises that combine technology, vision and business acumen.

BloomBox is a tech entrepreneurship supporting student body which conducts various events promoting entrepreneurship culture amongst the students.

Alumni Cell and Association of Somaiya Engineering College Alumni (ASECA) are like two sides of the same coin. While ASECA connects the alumni with the college, Alumni Cell ensures their engagement with the students. Together, they work under the paradigm of maintaining cordial relationships between the alumni and their alma mater, help students interact with their alumni and bridge the gap between them.
