This is an attempt of ours to bring you all together to share those memories and connect with the KJSCE alumni network”

ASECA is a registered Alumni Association of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering under the Umbrella of Somaiya Vidyavihar with its registered office at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar (East), Mumbai - 400077.

• Registered under Charity Commission Certificate under societies registration act, 1860, 104/2004 dated 17/1/2004 (Mumbai))
• Registered under Charity Commission Certificate under Maharashtra public trust act, 1950, F-37661 dated 02/7/2009

This alumni association is a non-profit organization and its objectives are:

• Advancement of the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of K. J. Somaiya college of Engineering and alumni of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.
• To be a platform for interaction and networking for all graduates and alumni of KJSCE.
• To provide a forum for interaction between the present students and alumni, the present and past teaching and non-teaching staff of the K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.

How to become member of ASECA: The different kinds of membership offered are as follows:

2004 or onward batch alumni

• Member: Any person who pays membership fees (lifetime) and is an alumnus of K J Somaiya College of Engineering. 2004 or later batches are welcome to join ASECA by paying life time membership fee once.

2003 or before batch alumni are De Facto members of the ASECA !!

•  Ex-Officio: All ex-officio members need to be employees of K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering and will be members till their employment is effective.

Honorary Members

• Honorary members suggested & approved by the Managing Committee will be members of ASECA. Honorary membership will only be offered to people who are/were associated with KJSCE. The Managing committee reserves the right to approve and revoke the honorary membership. Honorary members will have no voting rights.

Involvement Scope and Activities Conducted by ASECA:

• Facilitate various programs (interpersonal and online) for Alumni and students of the K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.

• Offer scholarship, internship and assistance to bonafide and deserving students of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.
• Assist in job placement wherever possible.
• Publish Newsletters and other material at regular intervals and mail them to the Members.
• Organize seminars, conferences, exhibitions, get-togethers and other social functions.
• Organize get-togethers of the Alumni.
• Being a part of the Somaiya Trust, support Somaiya Alumni Relations department in all activities and initiatives that benefit/include alumni from all institutes under the Trust.
• Provide mentorship to the alumni and students, for career growth and general guidance.
• Provide support for R & D facilities, Lab facilities, classrooms, conference rooms, auditorium at concessional rates to alumni.
• Create Official positions in the Alumni Chapters in India and overseas.
• Opportunity for continued involvement in areas like the subject board, guest lectures, mentoring, etc.
• May provide Library, Welfare Centre, training Centre, Educational help for Students, awards, and notebooks, run Book Bank scheme and to conduct other educational activities.
• To provide medical assistance to the students of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering if need be and to organize Medical Camps.
• May provide assistance to other institutions/sister institutes (whose objectives are same as AESCA) of Somaiya Trust that is a pioneer in not just education through Somaiya Vidyavihar & Somaiya Ayurvihar, but equally concerned for social responsibility towards community of poor and needy and immensely contributing to the disadvantaged group of the society through the K.J. Somaiya Medical Trust.
• May assist in improvement and development of infrastructure in K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.
• And generally to execute all such acts, deeds, matters and things as may be conducive to or for achieving objectives of the Association or anyone of them including hiring, leasing, acquiring, transferring, disposing off, creating any charge or lien in any property for fulfillment of objects.
• Undertake any other activity that is deemed to be necessary for the objectives of the Association.
