BloomBox, The Entrepreneurship Cell of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering
Year 2016-17:
Following activities were conducted during the academic year 2016-17.
1. Fe-I-Esta: BloomBox Introduction to first year students.
2. An initiative to reuse coconut shells which promoted Social Entrepreneurship.
3. A talk by Mr. Sameer Somal on 'Entrepreneurs, Intangibles and Digital Revolution’.
4. Mentoring Session by Mr. Dhairya Pujara, founder and CEO of Ycenter.
5. Sell-a-thon: A social entrepreneurship event organized in association with IDOBRO and Nareshwadi.
6. Hackathon: An event conducted during Abhiyantriki 2016 which had an objective of helping students to think about societal problems and create entrepreneurial solutions.
7. Panel Session: There was a panel discussion on impact through innovation which was being moderated by Hetal Mundra and the Panelists were Ajay Chaturvedi (Founder, HarVa), Kaustubh Shivdikar (TEDx Speaker) and Angad Nadkarni (Founder, Examify).
8. Refine: The Refine Program included mentorship and guidance to startups in several business building basics.
9. MasterChef Somaiya: A competition which puts to test a combination of culinary and marketing skills.
10. KIC Seminar: It was conducted in association of with KIC classes, and was regarding higher studies for the students.
11. GangRush: A team building event.
12. GyaanBox: This workshop by BloomBox gave some bright students a platform to spread their knowledge to others acting as a freelancer, i.e. for the students, by the students.
